🥔 It's Farl time!
🥞 We've made these delicious and so easy potato cakes before as a welcome and more filling alternative to pancakes, but this time they're upgraded with the addition of leftover kale and black onion seeds - perfect weekend fuel (for birthday parties or parks) and a great way to use up extra mash etc.
👉 Simply mix up mashed potato (and whatever else you wanna throw in) with flour - we used a mixture of wholemeal and white, 1 TSP of baking powder, optional black onion seeds (or other herbs n spices), a splash of milk and an egg. Mix into a thick dough and turn onto a lightly floured worktop..
🔪 Cut into chunks as you wish, make into balls then roll out into rough circles/ovals. Fry in a little olive oil and keep warm in the oven while you cook the rest.
🍳 Great with fried eggs and a little splodge of brown sauce.
Now ready to get into Sunday!
