This looks like a campaign for an overpriced organic blanket line for hipster chicks who swear they’re “anemic” 😩😂🥶 Brett really commits to the shot in these whimsical photo shoots I force on him & I ❤️ him for it. 😂
Lmao ANYWHO! It’s been a week since our Joshua Tree retreat, & I’m still coming down from the high of what a transformative experience it was. The level of presence, focus & efficiency we were able to achieve being totally secluded & disconnected was absolutely incredible. Our goals didn’t know what hit ‘em! 👊🏽💥 The expression “Your elevation requires isolation” has always resonated so much, & for me, the best isolation has always come from getting lost in nature. Sometimes you gotta hop off IG, bounce from your group chats, set your out-of-office reply & go where the air is clear, everything is quiet & the stars are actually visible.
Not only is nature a form of medicine, but also a powerful meditation & practical tool for our personal development. If you ever find yourself overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, fearful, frazzled, unclear, unmotivated, moody af, or otherwise disconnected from the boss ass bitch that is your higher self, then I implore you to spend some time in nature to get your spark back.
Consumer health reports found that spending time in nature is linked to several major health benefits including better sleep, improved focus & cognitive function, reduced stress, increased social connectedness, reduced risk of cardiovascular disease & an overall increased sense of well-being.
Doesn’t have to be a crazy week-long retreat in the middle of the dessert, but just spending an hr on a hike, at the beach or a simple stroll through the park somewhere will help calm your thoughts, broaden your perspective & recalibrate your mind from confusion to clarity. The key is to put away all distractions & fully surrender to the present moment.
One of my goals for 2020 is to spend time in nature at least 1x/week. Def going to take some discipline to incorporate into my routine, but I’m determined to make it a priority. 🙌🏽 So, this is your friendly Friday reminder to put your phone down & take your beautiful ass outside! 🌲😌🌤🍂
